This is an agreement that is legally binding and understood by the volunteer participating in any activity that is sponsored by Caring Kitchen. By signing this document, I understand that I will not receive any compensation for my services at Caring Kitchen. I understand that volunteer activities may involve risks, including but not limited to: slipping, falling, cuts, burns, and other injuries from kitchen equipment or hot surfaces, muscle strain or other injuries related to lifting, bending, reaching, or repetitive movements, exposure to chemicals used for cleaning, exposure to food allergens and exposure to communicable illnesses commonly present in public settings. I voluntarily assume all known and unknown risks associated with Caring Kitchen’s volunteering activities. I certify that I am physically able to safely participate in volunteer activities and I will notify Caring Kitchen if I have any medical condition or limitations that could affect my ability to volunteer safely. I agree to follow all safety rules, policies, and instructions, to wear appropriate clothing, to use equipment only after receiving appropriate instruction, and to report unsafe conditions or accidents immediately. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless Caring Kitchen from any claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, or liability arising out of or related to my participation as a volunteer.
I have carefully read this Volunteer Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk Agreement. I understand its contents and sign it voluntarily. If you are under 18 years of age, this document must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
